Are you a licensed electrician?

Do you work on homes and businesses?
Yes. We do residential and commercial electrical work, from a single outlet or light fixture to panels, rewiring and new construction wiring.
Do you install home generators?
Yes. We install the electrical side of home backup power: standby generator hookups, automatic and manual transfer switches, and inlets for portable generators. See generators and backup power.
Do you install EV chargers?
Yes. We install Level 2 home chargers and 240-volt outlets on a dedicated circuit, and check that your panel can support them. See EV charger installation.
Do you do pool or spa electrical work?
No. We don’t do pool or spa electrical work, including pool lighting and circuits for pumps and heaters. Please contact a pool contractor for that work. We’re glad to help with the rest of your home’s electrical work.
Do you install solar panels or solar systems?
No. We don’t install solar panels, solar batteries or other solar systems. We can still help with panel upgrades, new circuits and other electrical work for your home or business.
What areas do you serve?

Why does my breaker keep tripping?
A breaker trips to protect the circuit, most often because of an overloaded circuit, a short, a ground fault or a faulty breaker. If it trips again after you reset it, or will not reset at all, have a licensed electrician look at it. See circuit breaker replacement and upgrade.
How do I know if my electrical panel needs to be replaced?
Warning signs include frequent tripping, flickering lights, a burning smell, humming from the panel, discolored parts and a panel that is too small for the appliances you use today. Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels should be checked even if they seem to work. See electrical panel installation and repair.
Is a Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel dangerous?
These panels were installed from the mid-1950s to the early 1980s and are known for breakers that may not trip under excessive load, which is a fire hazard. Some insurance companies will not cover homes that have them. Learn more about replacing them.
Do I need whole-house surge protection?
Lightning, utility switching and large appliances all cause surges that can damage electronics, HVAC systems and appliances over time. A surge protector at the panel protects everything in the house. See surge protection.
Which appliances need a dedicated circuit?
Appliances and equipment with motors or that heat or cool usually need their own circuit: ovens, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, HVAC and shop equipment. See dedicated circuits.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. Our standard warranty is 90 days. New construction work has a 1 year warranty from the time of completion.
Do repeat customers get a discount?
Yes. Repeat customers get discounts or special pricing. Ask us when you call.
Do you handle electrical permits?
Yes. When a job needs an electrical permit, we take care of the permit and the inspection.
